Weekly horoscope 3.18 - 3.24
Hello! Thank you for tuning into this horoscope newsletter. I hope you are happy and safe where you are.
I appreciate your grace as last week I did not put out a horoscope at all. This semester in massage school is much more demanding with projects and practice and exams/exam preparation galore… which is exciting as I deepen in my walk with body work which I am grateful to be able to traverse in a time where most human beings are so incredibly touch-starved. I feel like whenever I am working in clinic that I am truly, one person at a time, making a difference and it’s an extremely satisfying, but I have been struggling to strike the balance and hopefully won’t miss another horoscope. <3
Venus transitioned last week into the sign of Pisces until April 5th. This is part of ALL of these personal planets moving through the signs of Aquarius through Gemini this year along with the outer planets, creating these extremely focused, concentrated waves of change that make things feel quite fated.
For example, Mercury just moved into Aries which is where it will station retrograde on April 1st (big April Fools energy), direct on April 25th and will move out of Aries on May 15th. We are also about to experience a solar eclipse in Aries on April 8th and eventually Venus, Mars and the Sun will join Mercury, Chiron and the North Node in Aries.
There’s this question that has been pervading of: what are we actually identifying with? Of course, Aries season begins the year, it goes first, it creates new beginnings, so we all have this to look forward to and this Mercury in Aries pre-retrograde transit is trying to get us to ask the questions: what do we want? Where do we stand in proximity to what we want in terms of our identity, concept of ourselves and our belief system? Things become very clear usually during Aries transits: if it’s not a resounding “fuck yes” it’s a “no,” folks.
Aries is also of course ruled by Mars, the God of war… so when people are screaming for peace and diplomacy, during the North Node in Aries transit, the energy calls for conflict. I wish it didn’t. This is a talk that I did with Erin Esser on this transit that lasts until January of 2025 where we went into the mundane, evolutionary and medical implications ~
This 2 month Mercury in Aries transit is about getting very clear down to the level of our instincts.
Meanwhile, with Venus being in Pisces until April 5th, this is very positive for both relationships and spirituality. This is a very supportive transit where we can really see the best in others. The downside may be the rose-colored glasses and seeing people and situations how we want to see them, but something tells me that this Mercury in Aries transit won’t let us get too far with that, not to mention Saturn being in Pisces posing as a “stop” for any additional delulu Venus in Pisces wants to bring to the table.
We are also raring up to the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus which is going to be very interesting…. on a macro scale, this looks like systemic disruption and shocking events taking place, which kinda makes sense considering where we find ourselves in time. In our personal lives, it’s clear that we are building up to a shock moment that really pierces through the limitations we place on ourselves in one area of life or another and ultimately ends up better than we anticipate so I honestly wouldn’t sweat the global sh*t too much.
Monday, Mercury in Aries is going to connect with the North Node in Aries which is going to really be an important part of this Mercury retrograde transit so it’s good to pay attention to what is unfolding in our lives as Mercury is in shadow… This conjunction is a little fated doorway into what can be expected in our lives in the next few months and could come with a conversation we need to have, a message we receive, a change in perspective we experience… Mercury stations direct exactly on Chiron and the North Node, highlighting this conjunction we experienced in February, so we’ll experience this feeling that Monday gives us a few times, looking at the same situation quite differently by the end of it.
This Mercury-North Node conjunction and Mercury’s passage this week has a lot to do with the eclipse coming up on April 8th as well ~ the themes that we are experiencing will wrap around.
We begin the week with the moon in Cancer ~ so with Venus, the Sun, Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, this is a whole lot of water to open up the week with as well that changes shape with the Sun moving into Aries on March 19th and the moon moving into Leo on March 20th… by Wednesday it feels like we’re in a new universe.
The Sun enters Aries on March 19th and there’s this overwhelming sense that spring is in the air in a lot of ways. This Aries season is quite complicated with the Mercury gearing up to station retrograde, the North Node and Chiron there (not to mention Eris, Lucifer) ~ there’s a lot to figure out in the part of our charts that we have Aries. This is a time where we are really having to face ourselves, working through all that makes us uncomfortable about our own individual walks in life ~ and this is not easy, this is truly the stuff of mastery that we are being called towards in this astrology. Aries season catapults us into new beginnings and endeavors.
Wednesday, the moon moves into Leo and right into an opposition with Pluto, calling us to face something right away. The moon will trine the Sun, newly into Aries… it’s just interesting because we are so used to Pluto opposing the moon from the last degrees of Capricorn and Cancer and this is so incredibly different, indicating that new levels come with new devils ~ a stark awareness that comes in towards the middle of the week.
Venus moves into her stopping point right into Saturn in Pisces on Thursday. Typically, Venus in Pisces can be in a delusional haze, seeing what she wants to see… and I see this as the point where she realizes she can’t reason what isn’t right for her spiritually away anymore. Saturn seems to be here this time to ensure we are only tethering ourselves to things that are sustainable and quench our thirst long-term.
Mars moves into Pisces on Friday… so I’d get some stuff done before then, taking advantage of Mars in the last few degrees of Aquarius. Mars does not feel competent and can sometimes be lazy or lethargic in Pisces, which challenges our constantly going and doing culture. We are partially tasked with being, without allowing ourselves to drown. Our subconscious and dreams are VERY active with Mars in Pisces and we should be wary of unconsciousness and try to act with deliberation and not fall asleep. Mars will be in Pisces until May 30th and then will move into Aries, joining in on all of the fun in the sign he feels most comfortable in.
Mars connects with Saturn as well as April really gets going … there’s so much fresh energy and potential in April that seems to coincide with extreme frustration, but we won’t experience that for a bit. April has some pretty extreme transits in store.
Sunday, Venus in Pisces is making a lovely stabilizing sextile to Jupiter in Taurus ~ Jupiter is slowly moving out of a sextile to Saturn, indicating that this is stability that we should appreciate while it is here. Venus and Jupiter is extremely positive.
The moon moves into Virgo on Sunday in preparation for this eclipse window we are coming into which honestly… as the moon waxes up to its fullest capacity from the sign of Virgo, it’s highly possible we could feel waves of anxiousness or be looking at all of the stuff that needs to be accomplished, checking the boxes off the list. Likely we will feel the intensity mounting as eclipse season kicks off Monday, 3.25.
The following is how the full moon lunar eclipse in Libra (3.25) and the Mercury retrograde in Aries transit coming up (4.1 - 4.25) may impact your rising sign ~ (and *I guess* your sun sign lol)
Libra
This is a very powerful time to be a Libra. The universe is really putting you on to release a piece of yourself that is outdated, old and weathered. The Libras and Libra risings I have observed are being challenged at this time since the South Node is in Libra. Your accommodating, people-pleasing way is causing you cramps, fatigue… so it’s kinda like you’re being asked to imbibe the traits of Aries ~ giving significantly less of a fuck and operating on instinct. This eclipse and Mercury retrograde tis calling up the importance of the fine balance between yourself and others. You may be inclined to do some cleansing, fasting… catharting in whatever form.
This Mercury retrograde transit is about you really figuring out who you are in the context of some of your most important relationships. Are you able to hold your own independent identity rather than becoming enmeshed? Is there something that needs to be done away with in your relationships? This rx transit will show you and lead you through a vulnerable passage that leads to a crack in the wall where the sun shines through another person, towards you.
Scorpio
The full moon lunar eclipse on March 25th is happening in the part of your chart that connects to addiction, escapism, spirituality, your dreams, isolation… and to me this reads of you releasing something that has been holding you back at the deepest level for a long time. This could be something that you carried with you into this life from a past life, an escape route that blocks you from your spirit… your intuition will be speaking loudly. This may also mark the ending of a chapter in your life, as this house has to do with the end and the undoing. Be careful not to allow those shadow qualities of Libra (people-pleasing, being too “chill”) to become your undoing.
This Mercury retrograde transit from April 1st through April 25th is all about you reinventing the wheel as far as what you do on a daily basis. You may undergo a dramatic schedule change this season, healing from some type of injury or illness or maybe feeling either not busy enough or too busy. This passage is all about you really figuring this out.
Sagittarius
This full moon lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25th may bring an end to your involvement with a particular community, friend or set of ideals in your life. This is all about releasing what you hoped would be and accepting what truly is. This may be a marker or a milestone in re-evaluating your role in group dynamics and recognizing that you don’t, in fact, have to please everyone or be everyone’s everything.
This brings us to the Mercury retrograde from April 1st until April 25th… which is truly all about really discovering what makes you truly happy. This can bring exes back from the past, or old flames, but also this could have you questioning new entanglements you find yourself in and their viability (this is a BIG relationship year for Sagittarius risings).
Capricorn
You may be leaving a career or perhaps minimizing the importance of your career during this full moon lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25th. Capricorn risings especially can be preoccupied with work, but you are currently in a space where you’re really taking an inward look and settling your home life in one way or another, so this is about removing your emphasis from public life for a season.
This is what this Mercury retrograde will bring up for you as it stations in the part of your chart that has to do with home, family, your internal world… so this will have you processing some undealt with anger and seeking inner and outer resolve in your personal life, relinquishing some of the discomfort that you’re experiencing in this part of your life.
Aquarius
Joseph Murphy really highlights the importance of your beliefs in his work ~ changing your beliefs can absolutely change your life and it takes some time. This could be you releasing a system of beliefs that you’re ready to relinquish through the full moon lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25th. You may be graduating from or leaving school, or changing in your spiritual orientation through this lunation.
Mercury retrograde from April 1st until April 25th has a lot to do with changing your perception. This whole eclipse season and Aries season is all about your mind and how you’re going to use it ~ are you going to let it get the best of you or are you going to use it to create and manifest? Think wisely.
Pisces
This full moon lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25th is happening in the deepest part of your chart, which may indicate a loss, either of a part of yourself, some type of shared financial connection, of someone in your life… This is challenging you to clean out your psychic basement and may feel like even an involuntary catharsis. I would be really wary of investing in something on a whim during this transit.
Mercury retrograde from April 1st until April 25th is happening in the part of your chart that connects to your money, your resources, so you’ll be coming up with ideas for new income and maybe even coming into a new income stream through this retrograde station and also reconsidering what it actually is that you value and really reconnecting with your own felt sense of worthiness of everything that is good in life. This season is really about standing on your own two feet.
Aries
This full moon lunar eclipse on March 25th is happening in your house of partnership and one-to-one relationships indicating a release of some kind. This could be you walking away from a partnership or even just releasing a false idea of what it means to be partnered and the expectation that you hold yourself and others to.
If you think for a moment you are being too hard on others, you are twice as hard on yourself at the moment through this Mercury retrograde transit in your sign ~ it’s almost functioning as a life review and a personal inventory. Why does this part of your body hurt? Why do you have these instinctual reactions to certain things? It’s all up for review during this transit from April 1st until April 25th.
Taurus
This full moon lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25th may have you walking away from a job or from something that keeps you busy on a daily basis. The desire to just spin your wheels, do the same thing every day or to have everything be so predictable is probably wearing on you ~ and this is a time to relinquish the mundane and embrace the mystical, for sure.
That is what this Mercury retrograde could be all about. You may feel drawn towards being quite a bit more quiet, inward during this transit from April 1st until April 25th. You may be deciding that you need a bit of a break from the constant comings and goings of mundane life and you may be doing a deep inventory of your subconscious. This is where you put a stop to things that your spirit tells you to stop without asking too many questions, trusting your intuition at each step of the way.
Gemini
This full moon lunar eclipse may have you walking away from a love situation that has been planted like a tree, yet is fruitless. Situationships, f*ck buddies… all of that seems like it’s on the way out for you in favor of a sense of delayed gratification and focus on the world and being of service to others. The leisure machine is slowing down in favor of something more substantial.
Certainly with Mercury retrograde in Aries from April 1st until April 25th this will be a time where you’re questioning the people in your circle and really refining it in a beautiful way. You have been for the last two years now called into leadership majorly and hopefully have been heeding the call. No one can lead like a Gemini rising with Aries in the house of community, groups, friends… but it comes with having to go first.
Cancer
This full moon lunar eclipse on March 25th is happening in the part of your chart that represents home, family, your emotions, your private life… purging expectations of how you wish things were, perhaps grieving and stepping away from family relationships, roommates and home life situations that have you feeling trapped in a box that you’re expanding beyond.
Mercury retrograde in Aries on April 1st until April 25th is asking you if you’re currently working in the right field for who you’re becoming and bringing attention and focus to your career. Perhaps you’re workshopping a few new ideas that need tweaking but you feel yourself moving in a very obvious trending direction where your work is concerned and this is all about refining that.
Leo
Leo risings are secretly super intellectual with Libra in the part of their chart that connects them to their mind, communication and environment. A lot of this full moon lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25th is actually really getting outside of your mind in a sense ~ freeing your head and allowing yourself to have more faith in the process. There may be some type of conversation that you know needs to be had or thoughts that need to be put on paper.
You are working towards a space of having more faith in the Mercury retrograde in Aries from April 1st until April 25th. This is you figuring out perhaps where you want to live, who you believe yourself to be in the world, what your philosophy on life is… smells like spiritual transformation to me.
Virgo
This full moon lunar eclipse in Libra on March 25th is happening in the part of your chart that has to do with finances, resources, personal possessions, your self-concept… and honestly I can think of this manifesting in a few ways. You may be walking away from a source of income that is simply not worth its frustrations and choosing to invest more of your energy into something that matters a lot to you.
Mercury retrograde in Aries from April 1st until April 25th is happening in contrast in a deeply non-physical part of your chart. Virgo risings are churning the butter of transformation in a major way at the moment… piercing through deeply uncomfortable feelings that have to do with either merging with or breaking apart from others, navigating obvious and non-obvious losses, major transformation and also good things happening… this Mercury rx period will certainly be intense and you will come out of it refined.
