Hey everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this newsletter/horoscope. I hope you are happy and safe where you are.
Today (Tuesday) Mercury is phasing out of a square to Neptune. There is this foggy, sleepy feeling that has been very strong for me in the last few days and it’s been really good for creativity and my spiritual practice but has made me feel quite ineffective in my life ~ if you’re experiencing that there will be a bit of a change this week as Mercury will move out of the last degrees of Sagittarius and into Capricorn, which is where Mercury much prefers to be.
There’s a rational optimism that emerges with Mercury in the earlier degrees of Capricorn and until then, there’s a bit of a lost or an unknown feeling.
There is also a new moon this week in Capricorn. This is the last new moon with Pluto still in Capricorn and then on January 20th, the Sun and Pluto will connect at the 29th degree of Capricorn and move into Aquarius together for some off the wall chicanery, no doubt, and things that are slightly unusual beginning to really crop up. Pluto in Aquarius brings to mind oddities and anomalies, bleed throughs in dimensions and timelines and makes things a bit more chaotic than controlled, like Pluto in Capricorn. Something to look forward to until September 1st when Pluto will move back into Capricorn once again for a grand finale.
The 0 degree of Aquarius is a space we are quite familiar with as Saturn and Jupiter came together during their “Great Conjunction” in December of 2020 that was supposed to be the “end of the world and the beginning” according to the movie Dark Crystal.
Pluto moves over this degree soon and we are tasked with asking ourselves what has developed and evolved for us since the December 21st 2020 conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter. These cycles of conjunctions can take on a similar pattern to a moon phase. First, the moon is new ~ a conjunction between the sun and the moon. Next, there is the first quarter square where we recognize where we are at compared to where we were when the cycle started, and recognize we have some time to go before the cycle peaks and comes into “fullness” before beginning to wind down towards the next moon phase.
In much the same way, cycles of outer planets can function this way. Jupiter in Taurus and Saturn in Pisces are in a sextile almost exactly right now and until the end of March ~ this is lovely stability that we are absolutely taking for granted at the moment. In August, Jupiter and Saturn will be in a square with one another which is a point of tension, crisis and the need to reconcile some things. There is a sensation of the balloon or bubble of safety popping a bit with this square in August. Enjoy and use the stability you’re seeing now and I’m saying beginning next week… lots of forward movement and pieces falling into place for us especially in our personal lives.
This is a video I made if you want to listen to it! :)
Tuesday (today I recognize this is Tuesday night but maybe this makes retrospective sense) there are two aspects that are really supportive and stabilizing: the first is the Sun in Capricorn making a trine aspect to Uranus in Taurus which is like an a-ha moment or an epiphany of some kind that actually does affect our lives.
Mars in Capricorn is also making a sextile to Saturn in Pisces which is a very stabilizing aspect where we know what to act towards, focus on and it’s like we’re very much aware of what we have to do.
As I’m writing this, the moon is on top of Mercury squaring Neptune which is creating a little bit of what could be an emotional mess or something not quite being clear and straightforward, though once the moon becomes new this sensation of feeling lost goes away.
Thursday, 1.11, the Sun is going to join with the moon for our pivotal new moon in Capricorn where we can really look at what of the last 15 years still needs to alchemized and processed. In a sense, as this new moon is making a square aspect to the North Node in Aries and the South Node in Libra, this could be looked at as a bit of a portal or a crossroads and the choices we make now are quite important! The new moon is exact at 7:00am on the east coast, so it’ll be while the people on here that are on the west coast of the US that will be sleeping while it occurs.
This is a powerful new moon where it’s like our mission and true, genuine purpose is jump started and we get this reminder of the goals that we’ve been setting and the climb we’ve been climbing since 2008 when Pluto moved into Capricorn.
Also on Thursday, Venus in Sagittarius will be making a trine aspect to Chiron in Aries which could be like a loving truth being revealed to us from someone close that is vulnerable but healing. I think there’s a lot of progress to be made through this new moon and the aspects it comes with.
Mars in Capricorn on Friday is going to trine Jupiter in Taurus which is honestly lovely. This is where our energy levels will likely be in a good place ~ this is create for aligned action and vitality. This is us really looking at our long-term future and being practical and benefiting from taking that stable stance.
Mercury moves back into Capricorn on Saturday and I can hardly wait! It will come into absolutely beautiful aspects to Saturn and Jupiter next week and we will feel like things will be very quick moving likely after that.
I am going to send out a specific newsletter for the new moon in Capricorn for all signs in the coming days :) Stay tuned ~ I will write about it for all signs.
Thank you for your patience with me the last few weeks I really appreciate it <3
