Hey there! Thank you so much for reading this horoscope :) I hope you are happy and safe where you are. Quite a busy holiday week ahead of us with a full moon, Chiron direct, Jupiter direct and these weird squares from Mars and Mercury to Neptune in Pisces. Things are about to begin to move pretty quickly in some ways so as always I will advocate that you fall asleep every night in your greatest wish fulfillment :) and that you guard your mind when you’re in a slightly drowsy state.
For me personally, it seems like the end of 2023 comes with the desire to clean my body, clean my home and clear my energy… and this seems like it’s a thing for many people. I am tearing through the list of 2024 readings I still need to do so that feels good :)
Monday, or Christmas for the western world and yule for pagans~ there are a few really nice aspects to tune into today that can definitely help us to feel purposeful and harmonious.
Mars in Sagittarius is going to make a trine to the North Node in Aries ~ this could be an awareness of what step to take and what to do… and in some cases is like a piece of truth making itself known to us. This also gives us plenty of energy which is good and about to die down as Mars comes into a square with Neptune later in the week so I know that it’s a holiday, but this seems like a great time for some signs to get things done or at least to write down what we instinctually know our next action is.
Venus in Scorpio is going to make a trine aspect to Neptune in Pisces which is actually quite lovely, dreamy, creative and maybe a little bit nostalgic. This seems like a day out of time in some ways. This is a day not to get lost in fantasy but the potential is there with this aspect.
Tuesday, the moon moves right into a full moon in Cancer right when Chiron stations direct. Woah. This is certainly a highlight of a very eventful week. I think the full moon in Cancer comes with us really striving for what is comfortable and traditional right now, knowing that change is knocking on our door in a few ways, both personal and collective.
With Chiron having been in Aries since 2018, there’s this wound that we’re all kinda sitting on and it’s like it hasn’t been eventful or has been “lying dormant” as it’s been retrograde ~ and ideally a lot of healing has taken place since July when it stationed initially. Look back over your life since then ~ there have been huge shifts of energy since and perhaps some of the themes from July wrap around to this full moon. I love how this is making a sextile to Jupiter and a trine to Saturn it feels like where we are all just seeking stability, comfort and there’s a very warm, empathic vibe to this.
For some, sure, this may feel a bit tender as things undealt with rise to the surface and the full moon in Cancer could be quite emotional. A full moon is always a release of energy, at least from what I’ve observed. Great day to get in the bath, to have a good cry… to do what you need to do.
In my opinion, Tuesday would be better if we had some room to emotionally adjust, but then on Wednesday, Mars in Sagittarius is going to connect with Mercury in Sagittarius which has been retrograde since December 13th (and is stationing direct on Jan 1st). Mercury is basically paused in an awkward gaze over to Neptune, right on the galactic center, so there is a lot of this that feels very dreamlike and clumsy. The end of this year feels SO surreal astrologically and it’s hard not to draw the comparisons to December of 2019 in the energy.
Wednesday and Thursday are peaking in terms of confusion, deception as Mars also moves to square Neptune. There are some things on these days that we shouldn’t take seriously, in my opinion and some things that may happen that may just be there to laugh at. The other thing that is lovely that is happening is that the Sun in Capricorn is making a trine aspect to Jupiter in Taurus… so in a way, the routes that are practical and make sense seem to be opening up pretty easily and effortlessly. The Sun in Capricorn with Mars-Mercury in Sagittarius can be a little pessimistic/nihilistic/wounded comedian… and I think really leaning into our senses of humor is going to be a great way to get through and to do practically what we can do.
Be wary of things that seem too good to be true and especially self deception during the middle of this week. The moon will move into Leo and the energy takes on a silly, creative flavor as we feel this need to prepare for the year ahead.
On Friday, Venus in Scorpio is going to move into a sextile with Pluto in Capricorn. This is where we double down on what we are willing to transform for, what we really value and want becomes quite clarified and seems natural to go for… I like this extremely determined, loyal and focused aspect.
Later on in the day, Venus will move into Sagittarius which is lovely. Venus in Sagittarius will really revive the desire to enjoy, have fun and be spontaneous. Venus pretty much immediately will come up against the square to Saturn early next week which is a bit of a sobering energy, however… Jupiter stations direct on Saturday at about 10:00PM EST and this should allow both Mars and Venus to really come alive (in Sagittarius). Venus and Mars in Sagittarius for the next few days is quite fun and there’s an awareness that Venus is catching up with Mars to connect in February and cause this wave of clarity in our relationships and connections with others, and where they’re going.
Jupiter direct is going to be awesome. I’m just saying… I’m a Sagittarius rising and when I tell you we cannot WAIT for Jupiter direct…
Jupiter direct is where (regardless of what it seems) luck comes alive in the realm again. It can feel like all the air gets sucked out of the room when Jupiter is retrograde and it can feel really challenging to move forward. I made a Jupiter direct prediction for each rising sign here :) because it’s a straight shot between this Jupiter direct that lingers at 5* Taurus for quite a while… and the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus in April that will be an exciting, fun and surprising event for people I think. In the world it has the tendency to seem very disruptive and chaotic but in a good way.
Sunday, the moon will move into Virgo to oppose Saturn in Pisces ~ we may feel tired and need rest at the end of such an eventful week and need to avoid being too hard on ourselves.
