Hello! Thank you so much for tuning into this weekly horoscope ~ I hope you are happy and safe where you are. When you’re reading this, within the last few days, we have really squeezed through the eye of the needle with the Sun and Pluto moving together into the sign of Aquarius in the last few days. This week will likely be spent adjusting to the change, with the full moon in Leo in close opposition to Pluto, this week we’ll certainly feel the difference.
Mercury also moved out of shadow in the last few days which means each and every planet (except for Uranus which stations direct this week) is moving forward ~ this is certainly a time where manifestations of ours (as well as things in the world) really begin to move forward.
Monday, the moon will move into the sign of Cancer ~ the first time the moon in Cancer will not oppose Pluto. There’s a bit of a disconnect between the Sun in Aquarius and the moon in Cancer ~ and we will all feel it raring up to be full. This may be an emotional purge prior to a huge breakthrough underway when the moon comes into Leo.
Tuesday, Venus moves into the sign of Capricorn, where it will be until February 13th (where it will then move into Aquarius and connect with Mars for the first time since the Spring of 2022 ~ bringing a lot of relationship situations to a new level of connection and movement). Venus in Capricorn is where we contemplate if the situations that we are in both financially and romantically are with us for the long-term. I feel like in the next month we’ll see a lot of breakups, reconciliations and people getting together for the first time due to Mars and Venus reconnecting in February, so in a way this is us looking at our priorities and what we want to commit to before our love and money situations experience some big shifts.
The moon moves into Leo on Thursday which quickly becomes full at around 1:00pm EST. This full moon in Leo is going to likely shake things up quite a bit with it making an opposition to Pluto newly being in Aquarius… And to me, this brings my mind back to this Venus retrograde transit we experienced over the summer and something being revealed from around that time (July 22 - September 3). There is this deep yearning to experience more laughter, creativity, play and joy in our lives and this full moon in Leo will reveal our pathway towards that and how we can further acclimate to the Pluto in Aquarius world.
Also on Thursday, Mars in Capricorn will be making an awkward, re-wounding square to Chiron in Aries. Mars in Capricorn is very exacting, almost militant, and might make us feel a little bit self-conscious as far as what we’re able to get accomplished. The pitfall here is to really be hard on ourselves. Additionally, I suspect with the war situation will reach a critical peak point with this Mars-Chiron square happening on the same day as the full moon.
Mercury in Capricorn, quickly catching up with Mars, also forges another awkward square to Chiron in Aries on Friday which opens up the tendency to feel self-conscious in your communications, can contribute to feeling a lack of competency or perhaps even brain fog. This is definitely a rough few days to have a very serious conversation, though sometimes we can’t put those off.
This weekend brings the energy to a peak with Uranus stationing direct, in addition to a whole host of other interesting aspects. Uranus stationing direct (has been retrograde since August 28th) brings ALL the planets into a direct station and in a sense, this is the sparkplug that causes all of the circuits to begin to fire in our systems. Uranus has been at the 19th degree of Taurus for over a month now. This may bring realizations globally as far as economics and issues of food, security (Taurus issues) are concerned as Uranus hastens along with personal realizations about what we know we need to change that may strike us like a lightening bolt, considering where Taurus is in your chart.
Mercury joins up with Mars on Saturday and runs right into a square with the North and South Node on the axis of Aries/Libra. Mercury and Mars together in Capricorn can actually be quite brutal and harsh, but we will have a lot (maybe too much?) mental energy and desire to discuss our plans for the future.
Planets at the bending of the nodes bring our attention and awareness to how far we still have yet to go, so don’t be discouraged. This highlights the societal impact on our thinking and the way that we internalize a strict and limited voice and the way that it gets in the way of us being the fullest expression of ourselves. We will know what limitations to release.
The Sun in Aquarius will be squaring Jupiter in Taurus and I honestly don’t even consider squares to Jupiter to be negative, though we do tend to try to do too much or overextend ourselves in squares to Jupiter. The Sun in Aquarius having just passed Pluto and the full moon in Leo has a lot to process and understand ~ especially if this came with a knowing about the future, it’s like… how do we ground this into something applicable?
Sunday, Mars in Capricorn meets its square with the Nodes ~ strongly highlighting the war energies that are at play, unfortunately. This will also highlight where we are at war with ourselves, with the North Node, asteroid Lucifer and Chiron all together in Aries and Mars forging this square. It can feel like we have a long way yet to go, when in reality we’re closer than we realize to realizing and fulfilling a lot of things, personally.
Mercury and Venus are in some very harmonious aspects on Sunday. Venus will be situated between a sextile to Saturn in Pisces and a trine to Jupiter in Taurus, offering a sense of peace, stability and not being too optimistic that we’re delusional while able to sense into the positive potentials at play. I love this energy, even with Venus not exactly happy in Capricorn because this is like a cradle of support.
Mercury will form a trine to Uranus in Taurus so we will be encountering surprising communications and maybe ideas that we want to act on. Just… with the Mars square to the Nodes, we have to give less attention to the wolf inside of our head that wants to berate us and tune into some of this supportive energy going on with Mercury and Venus.
