Hello there! I hope you are having a stellar whenever you’re reading this :)
A little astrology catch-up before we get into the meat and potatoes of this Mercury retrograde from May 10th until June 3rd.
Jupiter is currently and through the weekend at the very last degree of Pisces.
I’ve been chatting here for a while about the high spiritual sense AND the illusion equally that comes along with this Jupiter transit. Right now it’s at peak intensity as it prepares to move into Aries. I made a video about this transit (linked below) but I will also be writing about it and for all signs.
There’s something very intense about the last degree of a sign and the beginning degree of the next sign. And as I pointed out in my video, Aries is birth, new life, the first spark, the first initiating, exists therefore it is, while Pisces is where everything dissolves into the all that is, multiverses within multiverses, time falls apart… so in a way we’re really at a death and rebirth moment. This is all about surrender and letting go and trusting that the choices that you’ve made were correct. What I like most about this transition is that it really highlights the similarity between the most childlike version of ourselves (Aries) with our spirit and oversoul (Pisces). Enjoy that.
Jupiter being at the last degree of Pisces is peak change. Good to expect that things will change today (Tuesday May 10th) and this week in general in your life, with these intense transits during an eclipse season.
Jupiter will bring out themes of war in the collective as well as the push-pull dynamic between individualism and collectivism. It will bring out the freedom orientation and I personally think it’ll be really really nice to have some strong fire in the astrology in a major way, once more. Venus and Jupiter in Aries = we get what we want when we prioritize ourselves and when we act on those quick impulses, which may indicate we need to work on reading what our body is telling us. Instincts are on high at this time and maybe that’s for a reason.
Jupiter in Aries should bring with it a lot of hopefully organic innovation, people moving on what they know they need to do in the moment.
The shadow of this energy shows up especially in an almost-conjunction to Chiron in July and August when we realize that maybe through a lot of the collective efforts we have lost some of our individuality, as a potential. Next year is when this conjunction is exact and in my eyes there’s something very… mutative about Chiron in Aries in a conjunction to Jupiter… I know this is dark but it does scream “wounded bodies” to me. So really good time to do everything you can to tune your whistle ~ your vessel. Your body needs you able to read it and understand its signals at this point in time.
Mercury is the planet that governs trade & commerce, communication, thought, speech, industry… and when Mercury stations retrograde what is actually happening is the realm of Mercury is moving further away from us, which puts that influence of logical thinking, ease in communication and commerce… a little out of reach.
I do expect especially from May 10th - May 22nd when Mercury is in retrograde in the early part of the sign of Gemini super duper miscommunications, confusion… when Mercury is in retrograde in a sign that is already Mercury ruled… expect delays, internet connection disruptions… good to just sorta let go and let God with this one.
I will say though that this may be an opportunity to resolve and actually find common ground with people. We may find actually a lot of clarity around who we really want in our environment and who shares our values.
These are the degrees that come into play here:
4* Gemini:
An immense tortoise with jewels inlaid in its back.
Consciousness flagrantly and outrageously running off to infinity with all that is happening. You are always able to take anything further, to follow things out beyond boundaries and limits. Synchronized with multidimensionality. Coming upon the future everywhere. Blown so wide open that all you can do is exclaim, marvel, and alternate between rapture and despair. Highstrung and wildly strung. Engaged with all outstanding possibilities. Hopeful and yet equally doubtful. Yearning toward a world where everybody can be free; vividly impressed by a world where the chains prevail. Caught in the crossfire between the old and the new. Depending upon ingenuity and resourcefulness to each and every time open the space, stir up the pot, and uncover something dynamic and progressive in every corner of existence, just asking to be rallied, championed, and brought further along in the sparkling mix we partake in together. With never a dull moment, nor any entirely closed doors anywhere in sight.
Here’s the 26th* of Taurus where it will station direct on June 3rd:
A man sculpturing hedges into animal farms.
Making a great deal of something out of almost nothing is the mark of fantasy or uninhibited imagination. You prefer to be presented with basic, simple, and ordinary things. Inside your soul you turn these into what they originally were, releasing their primal power. When alchemy runs this close to the bone, it is astounding what it can do. Tackling longstanding knots and obstacles of every kind is sensed as nourishment and opportunity. A sacrificial incarnation can best frame itself in fantasy and imagination and thereby hug the edge between worlds perfectly. The path here is to stay under while peeking over the top, and to play it as straight as can be, while coming from an irrepressible source that can come through this peculiar form with flying colors.

When we see Mercury come into Taurus, we’re going over the last few weeks, we’re looking again at the value of different things in our lives, maybe trying to ground into what is real as much as possible. By that point Jupiter will be in Aries, so we will be SHOWN what the real and what the true is, we will have experienced some type of either pop or let down depending on what we were participating in when Jupiter moved through Pisces…
I will say that when Mercury moves into Taurus we will have a better shot at being realistic about what our values wants and needs are and maybe more likely to have a realistic conversation. I will say that I am watching world events for that Mercury direct station because it will be on top of Algol, the demon star in astrology.
Algol has amazing potential and also can devolve immensely, so it’s really up to choice. What do we do with destructive/creative energy? How are we applying it? Are we clearing karma or are we creating it?
Algol is very much involved in the war story that we see playing out in the collective, so we’ll see what happens with that. As always, the engineered idiocracy seems to press on, but we have individual choice with how we navigate the seasons. We’re also in the middle of a pretty intense eclipse window where it’s like a lot more is happening beneath the surface of our own selves than we even realize.
These degrees that Mercury is sliding through to make sure we learned our lesson are very central to the last year of our lives… last year, the north node of the moon or the point that connects to fated events and changes in our lives, where our energy feels pulled. From September of last year to the end of February 2022 we were learning something, encountering something. This isn’t the last time we will retrace our steps in Gemini and Taurus either, as Mars takes a retrograde later this year through the sign from October 30th - January 12th, 2023. So we will be seeing those 2020-2021-esque themes again and it will be an invitation how we handle it and how we choose to work with it both individually and collectively. What is our comfortability level with being wrong? Where are our humility levels at? Where have we glazed over truths that were presented to us? Where are we leaking in our communication space/throat chakra? These will come up again in the house that you have that transition from Gemini to Taurus in so it’s good to get really comfortable navigating this energy.
Below you can find how this energy (both the Jupiter in Aries transit and the Mercury retrograde station in Gemini) is influencing your own rising sign.
