Hello! I hope you’re having a fantastic Sunday. I wrote this all from my phone so we’ll see how it goes! I’ve attached some frequencies at the end that I like that you can meditate or listen to, should you choose to. This is the type of thing that people that subscribe to this substack will be receiving every time there’s a major astrological event for only like $7/month ☺️ I’ll be starting my daily blurbs for paid subscribers tomorrow I’m so excited! 💕

What a Capricorn season! With Saturn squaring Uranus on Christmas Eve, with Venus retrograde and Mercury stationing retrograde on top of Saturn, still widely squaring Uranus, a lot of people have experienced some tension, delays, frustration and it’s almost like what we have been experiencing and what the planets were reflecting in 2021 has evolved significantly even in the first few weeks of 2022. This is one of the biggest change months of the year and because human beings have such strong emotions, there are aspects of us that have to stop, pause and catch up to the changes that have transpired.
We’ve been in a deep and “clonky” (I can’t find another word to describe it) reflection with Venus in Capricorn and now Mercury in some aspects of our lives. What I want to most convey about this full moon in Cancer is the necessity of allowing your emotions and your feelings *Venus in Virgo shudders* to catch up.
Some of the changes that we have been contemplating with the sun, Venus, Pluto and soon Mercury in Capricorn are likely pretty practical, because in a way when we are in a time of rapid compression and expansion, we have to look at relationships, activities, in the way of~ does this take away from me or does this add to me? Capricorn is pretty matter of fact about every choice either contributing to greatness, power, “success” whatever that is, or taking away from it… and under this harsh Capricorn-dense sky, we are reminded in this full moon in Cancer that we can only go so long without dropping to our knees and relinquishing some of our burden, crying it out, remembering that WE ARE WATER.
Thankfully with assistance from Jupiter in Pisces softening us, opening us to surrendering not to control dynamics, but to spirit. It seems as though it is the only way.
Cancer is one of the most underrated mystical & psychic signs.
Cancer is our connection to our past, our lineage, the way that within our bodies are cells, flora & fauna of our ancestors from literally forever ago… and how many people do you know are abandoning their past in favor of jumping into a brave new future^tm? Reflect on January 17th on who you know came before you in your lineage: what are their stories and how do they inform some of the patterns in your own life? What if you could go inside of your still place to receive this information instead of having to go to a website?
Feel feel feel on this full moon. The moon is opposing Pluto in Capricorn, so this does bring up darker themes of where we feel that we have to have control, where we are gripping onto something with all of our might, where we might be fixated, compulsive, afraid. When I went through a big event in my life recently, my spirit made it very clear that as regenerative beings it is important to find a way to die early and often. In this message “to die” means to let go. To just stop. As much as I want to completely never look at or think about a piece of scripture again, I keep coming back to the Bible verses I learned as a teenager that stress the importance of rest. Truly resting. And the sense of peace that it brings. I’d say with the full moon in Cancer bringing peak intensity and emotion in our personal lives, embracing true rest seems like a great way to play it. Something has to die in us or around us, and sometimes the best thing you can do is let it.
And emotional sensitivity and honestly people acting cah-razy is likely to be at an all time high so I know for myself I have set the intention already for 0% drama. Stay out of the fray unless it is your time to stand up for yourself and to reclaim your power 🔥 our intuitions will let us know what we need
Full moon in Cancer by *rising* sign:
Cancer
Ask yourself: is who you are, your baseline personality, currently serving you? Or is it weighing you down with conditions? How much of who you are is and has been formed by your relationships and maybe some of their toils and tumbles since 2008 when Pluto entered your 7th house of partnership. What that isn’t you can you release from your body and your field through radical self-care?
Leo
A great day to check in with subtle addictive or escapist patterns that you may have, a great day to give yourself over to rest arguably more than any of the other signs. This sun-Pluto conjunction could trip off some kind of power dynamic at work or could alert you to something that needs to shift within the health of your physical body, and the answer seems to be that sweet spot of rest, surrender, naps, baths, while not beelining head first into your favorite substance or favorite way to get away.
Virgo
This may be a day to emotionally lean on your community of family-friends and ask for help and for space to be held for you. If you’re struggling with your love life, with your kids, with your inner kids, with a creative project, you should find some relief in the company of your community on this full moon. The impulse to control which I know Virgo placements are ailed with as someone who has many is strong with this full moon.
Libra
This full moon is happening in your house of career, so this could be a time where you have a lot coming up emotionally and on the home front, so you may feel pulled apart or scattered about a good bit, since Cancer and Capricorn are “at odds” with your sign. Boundaries come up very strongly in all aspects of your life ~ do they allow the right stuff in or are they completely impenetrable? Do you absorb everything and anything? Both/and in different aspects of your life? You may want to leave your job on this full moon or the cycle of 2 weeks & 6 months it initiates, so if this gives you permission and you run it through your inner knowing and it’s a smart decision for you, permission granted and with timing you may want to make sure that Mercury and Venus are direct (mid-February to March is good for making big life changes, unless you’re a rebel, then do your thing! 👏🏻)
Scorpio
This full moon in your 9th house echos the transit of the North Node in Cancer in 2019-2020 where you feel compelled to do certain things and you don’t know why so you do them anyway, where you are led by the spirit of those who have come before you in honor and in love, where you are reminded that not all of those who wander are lost. This is a day for you to get out there in your imagination, into a book, into the physical world if you’re not in a snowstorm (in the south of the US). Follow where your impulses lead you ~ your head may not be a fun place to be so in a sense this forces you to become childlike, to come down into your body, and burst out of the top of your head. I know that sounds strange, but take some mushrooms or do some breathwork and you will innerstand 😂 go where the water of Cancer leads you and maybe try not to approach it with your vehement mental skepticism. Don’t get it twisted, Scorpio risings & people who have Capricorn in their 3rd house in general have extremely sharp mental discernment… but today is the day to release that like armor and find yourself in a space of creative curiosity and inspiration.
Sagittarius
You are the one sign who needs to symbolically die the most (and I’m allowed to say that because I am a Sagittarius rising). There is so much holding on, restructuring and reordering our material right now, looking at finances, business, budgeting… but on this full moon we can throw ourselves head long into the mystical, the deep, the psychological. Don’t get it twisted Sagittarius risings are very deep, they just don’t often show it, and they can get lost in the rhythm of their tides sometimes. Today would be a day for you to allow yourself to get a little lost, to release what you need to release, to not expect it to make linear sense, to bridge the dimensions of your own Heavens, earths and underworlds.
Capricorn
This full moon both takes some heat off of you and pressurizes you. Venus and Mercury retrograde, Pluto being in your sign, Saturn having come through your sign and explosive conjunctions… you are used to this energy of being in a pressure cooker in some senses by now. Mercury and Venus definitely could be causing within you some uncomfortable inner questioning of how you want to show up as yourself in this world? And who do you want to walk with you, with this full moon in your house of partnership? But more importantly… with your laser sharp Saturnian discrimination… who don’t you want to be with? This is about releasing expectations both that you impose on others out of fear and control, and the expectations that you place on yourself within that context. During the Cancer new moon in June there’s a seed of a new beginning that sprouts from discovering what you don’t want by looking in the mirror that is the other.
Aquarius
This full moon is happening in your 6th house of health, routines, patterns, daily work… and the message with this one in particular came so clear and so strong. Having this Sun-Pluto conjunction with Mercury and Venus retrograde in your 12th house after the last several years is likely stirring a lot up in your unconscious, subconscious… the image I receive is like a dumping out before you can really fill up your cup in a whole new way, especially once March hit and Venus & Mars come into your 1st house, crossing the veil from the spiritual into the material so that some of these lofty ideals and dreams can be made real in a new wave. For this full moon in particular, this is a time to process all that out in your body. Go for a walk, do a self-massage with warm oil, sit in the tub, eat slowly, practice some yoga, do a body scan, use oils, receive bodywork, use anything that you want that helps you to get deeper into presence in your body. I think if you don’t process some of these emotions out and process and through your body, the signature of having Cancer in the 6th house is sometimes struggling with retention and inflammation, and on this substack we are valuing and paying attention to the link between our minds, emotions, souls and bodies and what that connection is communicating to us. So I don’t mean to lecture you, I recognize in this one I’m embodying a preachy vibe, but with the risks that come with inflammation in the season we’re in, having personally experienced one not too long ago… making releasing of emotions through your body and a focus on decreasing inflammation is the loudest message from my stream. Maybe there’s just one person who needs to read this and that is enough for me. 💕
Pisces
Sweet Pisces. My hope for you on this full moon is that you peel back from all interactions that drain you, sever the links and shut those things down for the whole entire day to relax and to allow your inner 3, 4 and 5 year old to guide what you do all day long. Sing to yourself, write to yourself, do something creative, if you have children take the day and just do something fun with them. Do whatever you want to do that makes you feel comfy, cozy, nurtured. Turn off the news, turn off all streams of information and turn in to your own stream and fully give into it and pay attention to it, being with any emotions that come up.
Aries
Not that I’m telling an Aries rising what to do, I know better, but if I am invited to, try to take the day off. The stress of work and the questioning of how am I going to implement this massive vision or how am I going to stand up against this authority in my work sphere… just leave it behind on this full moon, spend time in your comfortable zone, nurturing yourself with the right teas & soups, and have a good cry. This full moon is in your 4th house which is the most private part of your chart so if you’re feeling a bit reclusive, there’s definitely cosmic reasons for that, but sometimes a break is a break and you need one, so take it.
Taurus
This full moon is happening in your 3rd house and could pose as *quite* a catharsis. This is where my natal moon sits and I know how liberating it can sometimes be to just communicate how you’re feeling. Of course that requires the right, compassionate listener, which you can feel instinctually as an earthy Taurus. A journal, voice memos and a listening ear are your best friends. Sometimes it helps to get all that you’ve been wondering about, shattered by, disillusioned by, out of you, one way or another… out of your body and into something it doesn’t have to be verbal. Taurus placements of all kinds are SO musically talented usually and just creative AF so please exercise that on this full moon.
Gemini
You’re definitely in a process of sorting right now, Gemini. Sorting through the confusing dynamics of shared space, emotional projection, death, rebirth, and the deeper issues that life has to offer you, while also reclaiming space for yourself where no one is expecting anything of you, where you’re not needing to hold up the sky, and you’re on the surface of the shore feeling calmed by the waves as they pass by you. Setting intentions to release resistance to glimpsing upon the worthiness of what you are, for more resources and abundance to flow, could be a good way to play this Cancer full moon.
